GE strives to provide competitive employee benefits packages in the regions and industries in which we have a presence. Our wide range of employee services, retirement, health and other benefit plans are designed to help eligible employees make the best decisions for themselves, their family, and their lifestyle.
The best thing is the permissive time and the flexible work hours. Most managers are very accepting of the flexible work hours and don't care that employees aren't in the office 8-5 every day.

Good 401K plan. Health care is okay but expensive. Vacation is undefined and supposedly you can choose as much time off. But in reality job pressures make people take a lot less than they deserve.

Health insurance has very high deductible ... keeps rising very year. Unlimited permissive time off. No pension for new employees.

401(k) with matching funds, health care with FSA, dental and vision, tuition reimbursement.
Best would be the health care plan, GE has a large pool of employees which reduces costs for everyone.
Worst is the pension plan was discontinued years ago.

Permissive time off is great assuming your manager agrees to the time you want to take off. The 401K matching is decent but vesting takes 3 years.

Good Health Insurance and Dental program. Vision was okay. The 401k matching is one of the best I've seen but the new policy of requesting vacation days and no more accrued vacation was a major let-down. Also, work-life balance is not too great, expect. High turnover rate since I've left.
