The permissive leave policy is a nice benefit, no need to track vacation or personal time anymore. As long as you are getting your work done and you manager approves you can take time off.

The best thing about benefits was unlimited vacation time and access to training both online and in person. There was some reimbursement of gym fees.

The Permissive unlimited time off is great at GE. As long as you are performing I have found managers not to care when you take off. You do have to have initiative in making the time and creating boundaries that work for you and your family but the flexibility and not having to worry about PTO during a pandemic has been a relief.
