Maternity leave in Canada is excellent, however in the USA it is 3 months, although there have been complaints of feeling pressured to return early.

Although I agree that Canada's leave of absence is generous, you are not quite accurate in your statement regarding the US. The timing for a maternity-related leave of absence varies depending upon where in the US the employee is. State jurisdictions vary greatly.
