Job Training

Not too much to say about it. It's done like an online class, it only took me one day to complete both ACT and SAT. You're given a test at the end, and then you're done.

Initial training was a formality and only really explained how to use the center's software and record keeping binders. There is more training available depending on what subject you tutor. Training is done on a laptop and consists of videos and up to date curriculum, no obnoxious old/dated videos! Also they schedule blocks of time so you don't have to sit through more than 2-4 hours of tutoring at a time if you do no want to.

Their training was always very straightforward and easy to follow. They were very supportive all the way.

The initial training is very bare-bones, just watching videos on the computer. But the hands-on training after watching the videos is very helpful in getting comfortable with the process.

The initial job training was thorough, and included shadowing a teacher for several days. Though Huntington claims that they will continue to provide further training to help employees improve teaching techniques and to allow employees to advance within the company, no further training is ever provided

The job training here was good. They make you do a minimum of 16 hours of training before you work with a student which is great because it gives you time to familiarize yourself with their study materials.

When starting out new, you observe a seasoned tutor and can ask questions if need be. This is also with pay but not at the higher tutoring wage.

I am a tenured staff member with the company and was thoroughly trained when I joined Huntington. There is both formal and informal ongoing training and development in my position. As a professional, I am self driven to learn more about the industry and my area of expertise so I participate in as many webinars and external seminars as possible.

It is absurdly limited and in no way prepares you for what you will face on the job.
