Neutral--I was a temporary employee. Health insurance is only offered on the 91st day of work. I was covered under my husband's family insurance plan throughout this period.

Lots of options that are specially negotiated for Federal employees. And apparently they are really good b/c when I have gone to see a doctor or get medical services, they were really happy acting when I told them my insurance.

As a federal employee you get slightly more extensive coverage.

Wide range of plans to select depending on your needs. Can change plans once a year depending on changes in your health or changes in plans.

After 6 months of employment, you have access to choose a healthcare plan. There are about 15 to choose from including BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, Humana, GEHA, etc.

Having to pay twice a week for health insurance with such a low wage can be difficult to live on.
