Only one company to choose from. Covers the basics, but expect to pay more for fancy frames or wanting both contacts and glasses.

The vision insurance is actually really good, they used to pay more for eye exams though. But the premiums didn't increase.

Intermountain wants you to use their vision doctors, so forget going where you are more comfortable or to someone closer to you.
They also will only pay for the eye exam. You get stuck with the rest of the costs.

We don't have vision insurance for our family, so I don't know if this is good or bad.

I am signed up for the Intermountain Healthcare vision insurance. I am hoping it is great, I have an appointment this month to see my eye doctor about some surgery, so we will soon see how good it is.
