Johnson Controls benefits

You get what you pay for with health insurance, the HSA card is great. Decent retirement and 401k options

The benefits package is strong. Up to 6% match. Health/Vision/Dental is not a high cost.

401K had a great company match.

7% 401k Match which is higher than most corporations

The best thing about the benefits package at Johnson Controls was how comprehensive it felt. I had a good experience overall and noticed that a lot was offered, including strong options for health coverage, retirement, time off, and other employee support resources. It felt like the company put real effort into giving employees choices based on their needs. I would not say there was a major “worst” part from my experience, but like most benefits packages, it can take some time to understand all the options and choose what fits best.

JCI provided a really top tier benefits package. Health was BCBS for a really good price and covering everything.

Retirement contributions are okay but vesting timeline is not great if you are an acquired company. 401K match is just average. Vacation is average and health is fine for individual but not great for family level. Overall just average. The charity match is one of the bright spots.

Health insurance is priced high and you must utilize a health tracking app to get small discounts to your premiums. Johnson only brought back a PPO option about two years ago.
