Vacation & Paid Time Off

Johnson Controls has good vacation benefits but paid holiday benefits are lacking due to other employers offer a few more days off during the year. But Johnson Controls does offer floating holidays that can be used Four different religious holidays.

3 weeks vacation walking in the door, plus personal time, and paid sick

Recently added an extra week of vacation to employees who feel within a certain hire date parameter. Three personal holidays each year.

Vacation time isn't accrued so you don't have to wait to take some time off

The vacation and paid time off was good, due to time of service I had with my plan at that time.

Starts at 3 weeks with 3 floating holidays initially. Goes to 4 weeks after 8 years and 5 weeks after 15 years.

Everyone gets 3 weeks paid leave and 3 floating holidays. The day after thanksgiving. 2 days for Christmas. Great benefit.

It given to you but they don't like you to take it. Also it has to be used up in that phisical year or you lose it. So if you work and save it to the end and you can't take it you can ask to roll it over in the next year. They will say you can. And as you use your time you will quickly see that they didn't give it to you and you go back to them and ask about it and they say they will look into it but never get back to you!!

Does not accrue. Very outdated and you can get much better vacation at competitors.
