Retirement Plan

Seen many people retire off of this plan and they even celebrate when you reach retirement.

Your retirement plan is your 401K plan so it is what YOU make it. They match 3% so save save save

this plan is a good plan for everyone and Krogers has it set up real good

Again, if you plan to stay there for 40 years (good luck) you'll get a good one.

It's good from what I have read in the employee hand book

pension plan available fully vested after 7 years

35 or so times total years of service is what you’ll get a month upon retirement. Vested after 5 years and can retire at age 55.

Company match so put in enough to get the match

Can't collect full benefit until 65 years old. Also, if you stay with company past 40 years, the benefit decreases. Therefore, if you are still under 65 when you reach 40 years, you should quit and work somewhere else until 65. Not a good formula. There should be changes to the age and years of service so loyal employees who reach 40 years can stay until retirement age and not be penalized, or allow full pension at 40 years of service regardless of age. Other major corporations allow full benefit when years of age and service equal 80. That is sensible and fair.

They no longer match what you put in your retirement account. Tunis proves the corporation does not care for its employees. They won’t take care of you while you’re there. Why would they when you are gone?
