It cost $12.00/month for a single person and they gave me a $2,000 health card to cover ALL of my expenses for healthcare this year with the UHC HDHP.

Healthcare cost are about double compared to competing companies. Its great if you don't mind fork out 8% of your wages for healthcare.

The employees covered under a Union Agreement are lucky these days. (ps:there wasn't a monthly premium for employee only healthcare until approx the year 2000??? Because the employee used to be a true assets to the Bell System)... With the Unions, we do have a decent Healthcare option that does not refer the employees to obtain thru the public assistance services our taxes are already supporting. (I know some hard working people at fast food, or retail box stores... That actually do guide their employees for healthcare at the welfare office... Because thir wages qualify tham for cheaper premiums)... Oh-wow!!! (With the Union agreements... We have much stronger and reliable healthcare options and greater services in providing to our family. THS helps the community we live in as our wages are able to pay the office visits etc. vs-the tax dollars paying for services as a referral for a low income /poverty level waged family.
