8 weeks paid after you have been employed for a year. This is great compared to most places, but I thin 3 months paid should be standard, and MIT should lead this. I'm not sure what the paternity leave is.

Maternity leave allows 8 weeks of paid leave, anything more is only if there is medical documentation of a need. There is no provision for paternity leave

I don't have any kids, but two in my office, a man and woman, got a good amount of paternity and maternity leave. Maternity was a few months, while paternity was a few weeks.
