Benefits seem generous to average--hard to compare with other companies. The cost our our medical coverage did sky rocket for deductibles and donations to HSAs still come out of your own pocket but Magellan did initially contribute a small amount to your HSA.

did not offer enough choices. there were only two choices one high deductible plan and another higher deductible plan. Cost for a family to be insured was astronomical

The health care coverage is minimal and expensive. Provider availability depends upon the state you are in. The health insurance carrier and their website and member services are highly sub-standard. You can probably get a much better deal with greater choice of providers and hospitals through your state exchange, if you have one. Plus you wouldn't have to manage your HSA bank account.

Health insurance coverage is horrible for the working poor. Too bad if you have pre-existing conditions prior to the new insurance plans in 2016 because until you meet your outrageous deductible nothing is covered. I have had to suffer with not being able to afford medications and treatment because I cannot afford to pay the full price or co-payments of doctors. Been with the company for 18 years and never have I had it so bad.

They only offer a high deductible plan. I was hospitalized and wound up with over 9,000.00 in medical bills.

Several options, however, consumer driven plans are the only viable ones due to high cost of traditional PPO and HMO plans.

High deductible health plan with company providing a yearly stipend based on salary level. Premium was affordable yet no option to pay more in premium and avoid the high deductible plan.

Both plans offer a HSA, which works great for me. For some it is more challenging, especially this with chronic illnesses.
