401K Plan

Compared to a lot of friends of mine, the 401k is no better and in fact sometimes worse, only matching 50 cents on the dollar and even then the match cuts off once you've contributed only 6% of your salary or the company has matched up to $6000, whichever amount is lower. Could be worse, but there also seems to be room for improvement.

It's a low matching 401k and they also won't start matching until you've been with them for a year.

Seems like a pretty standard corporate matching plan. Uses Vanguard. Matches 50% of what you put in, up to 6% of your salary. If you make $50,000 and you put in 6% of your salary ($3000, tax-deferred), the company adds $1500. That's free money.

I didn't participate however everyone I know that did seemed very pleased.

They match your contributions up to 6%.
