The Health plan used to include everything, but now it is a high deductible plan and after the deductible is met, only 90% is covered.

Used to be super, until they switched to a Health Savings Account/high deductible plan. Now it takes a ton of time to manage all the payments and paperwork, taxes are a nightmare, and if you need services (e.g. if you have a chronic illness or KIDS), you'll burn through a lot of your own money before the 10% clause kicks in.

breadth but not depth to the health insurance. Meaning, they try to cover all bases but insufficiently allow sick time, work from home options, or real support for bad hr situations

The best thing is the comprehensive network of health care providers. The awful thing is the HSA program and the inability to streamline the billing and reconciliation into one process. Hours can be spent on the phone between Premera and the health care provider billing office to correct one line item.

Microsoft's health insurance used to be legendary. Unfortunately, current insurance is better than most but not the best in the industry.
