Work From Home is common and regular option for employees even though they have own spaces in MS campus. And MS will provide work stations and stuff to FTE's

Connectivity is the only problem. But there is no constraint from management to not work from home as long as the work is done and you have collaborated sufficiently with your teammates.

We are given lots of latitude in our work/life balance, to include working from home. I found during most of my career here, my ability to work from home was well above what I was able to do at other enterprises. Very focused on impact, rather than clocked hours, and where those hours are clocked.

It depends on where you work - MS is a very large company. Im my division when I worked, the leadership communicated to us that we should work from the company office unless there is compelling and justifiable reasons we can't report to office every single day.
