Bonus has a significant portion linked to company performance. So even if your business group blows the year out, the company attainment is generally lacking across the board so your bonus will suffer. On the upside, there are opportunities to earn more than 100% attainment on your bonus based on individual achievement and your department attainment.

usually pretty good bonus. bad thing is that they use it as an excuse to give only 1% raises
