I lost vacation when Oracle bought our company. They only allow for up to 3 weeks per year regardless of years of service. They only allow for a carryover of 80 hours and they constantly harangue employees to use their vacation.

Since I've started working, I've never had less PTO.

Oracle does provide vacation accrual and paid time off for some employees. Mid to upper management does not accrue any vacation time - they have to negotiate time off with their manager which is obviously difficult for key employees. At Oracle, this appears to lead to problem with balancing work/life.

Oracle has started requiring US employees use 32 hours of vacation for year-end company shutdown.
