Vacation & Paid Time Off

Would like vacation to increase with time served, but sick days not used for vacation is extremely nice

The worst thing is people don't respect the fact that you are on vacation. Managers call, text, email -- they stalk you for crap they're too incompetent to do themselves.

The problem is not that Oracle doesn't give vacation and paid time off - it has more to do with finding the time to take it off, given many teams are very understaffed.

Vacation days are highly satisfatory. less than 3 years - 15 days more than 3 years - 23 days. Would like to get more Holidays.

When I joined Oracle in 1994 from 10+ years at another tech company, I lost a week of vacation. At the other company we got 4 weeks after 10 years. At Oracle that doesn't exist, you never get to the point where you can accrue more than 3 weeks in a year's time. As others have mentioned, Oracle stole vacation from employees this year by mandating 5 days off. Someone mentioned the potential of unlimited time off. I saw that question on the survey about the mandatory vacation and what came to mind was the potential for abuse. And I don't blame any employee who takes full advantage of this company.

This is the one area where Oracle really drops the ball. The discretionary paid time off for a person of 19 years experience like myself is 13 days. Well, WELL below industry average. Talk has been of a coming unlimited time off with no accrual, which will be fine with me.

It is a good package and you can carry over (but not to infinity)

PTO is accrued in your first year. Not cool they made us take mandatory PTO between Christmas and New Years. I'm in the negative now as a newer employee.
