The best thing about the employee discount is it works on almost any sale and can be used on clearance as well. At times management would hold competitions that had a prize of an extra discount added on top of your employee discount, It made for a great deal.

The discount was 30%, so pretty decent.

One of the few perks for part time staff was 30 percent discount. On its own it didn't mean much as the off brand items in the store were oddly over priced. However where you could really save was you could used the 30 ,percent on top of an existing store sale or promotion. So say if you were buying socks and BOGO was around. You would get half off one pack and then 30 percent off on each pack so instead of $20 for two packs of socks you would pay roughly $9.

30 percent on currently priced items

it really makes a difference. I like having thirty percent off. its even cheaper and more affordable. whats not to like?

You get 30% off even with shoes on sale. I don't use as I don't buy Payless Shoes.
