The best thing is recognizing all federal holidays, and offering additional PTO for holidays like Christmas, new years, and thanksgiving based on overall company performance. Worst thing is not being able to roll over your annual PTO accrual, however the PTO plans are very fair based on role and tenure

Best is you can go in the negatives on PTO. I cant think of a bad thing.

Vacation is accrued as you go so that makes it a little difficult to build up enough to take a legitimate long term trip. If you're big on travel you will have to either take short trips or wait long periods of time between them.
