I hear it's very good but I didn't stick around long enough

Profit Sharing plan is based on percentage of base salary. Annual contributions that increase the longer you are with the company.

The profit sharing aspect has helped many, recent lows in the stock price do not make it the best vehicle but for long term it was definetly a good way to prepare for retirement. The stock in the 401 format makes it easy to transition or remain in P&G once separated. Overall the plan is solid and provides for various ways to spread your portfolio outside of just P&G stock.

Profit Sharing in P&G stock. Opportunity to invest in a 401K, but no employer matching.

Years ago when I hired in, the mantra on the street was most people can retire from P&G with at least a million in their profit sharing. I don't think that is the case anymore, due to the lowering of % of Company contributions. But if you contributed a lot, you will end up with a very healthy retirement plan. It is still highly regarded.
