In the day, I saved and made a fair amount of money. Turned out OK for me, but I wish I had been much more proactive in selecting plans. I worked so had there was not often time to study what was going on in the 401K and it just kept growing and growing until it seemed to be enough! Of course, it helps to have multiple sources of retirement funds saved up too!
