SAS has excellent health insurance, 401K matching and good vacation policies. While paid holidays are a little less than most places, vacation time is usually considered sacred and employees are encouraged to take time off to recharge.

Very generous benefits, employee discounted cafe meals, daycare, gym, company profit sharing contributions to a 401k plan as well as a percentage of company matching based on individual contributions. Yearly bonuses/raises dependent on how well company performed each year, it was moving toward rewarding higher individual performers at discretion of managers as far as bonuses rather than an across the board percentage, raises were always based on merit as far as I know. Great healthcare benefits and insurance plans, plus free onsite healthcare for employees and family members , which meant an employee could usually see a healthcare professional the same day on campus. Generous vacation plus traditionally gave employees last week of December off till after the New Years day in addition to vacation and standard holidays thru calendar year. Free drinks & snacks in breakrooms, friday free breakfast goodies from cafe. If anything the benefits and perks increased over the years I worked there, no matter what the economy was doing, that was the great part of it being a private company at least up till now since no shareholders involved. When you had to do a job related travel event the company has its own travel department, they took care of logistics for accommodations/air travel . The arrangements had to be up to corporate standards, usually stayed at a nice hotel that should exceed expectations- which means you wont be staying at a Motel 6 or Budget Inn, only thing is sometimes on the road you have long days and may not always get to enjoy all the amenities at some of the nicer hotels you get booked at, but thats why they call it work. Also had generous per diem while traveling, what was great, at a lot of SAS sponsored events I attended one was provided breakfast and lunch at the event, so did not need to use any Per diem till dinner usually. Company paid time off to encourage employees to volunteer for company approved community service organizations or charity events. Lots of employee discounts with local vendors/businesses that qualified to be on SAS vendor discount list that offered employee discounts of various amounts. The company did about all it could do to take care of its people and definitely over the top from anywhere else I had previously worked at.

Medical and dental are the best in the business. 401k is market-competitive. Vacation is unfortunately still quite limited (3 weeks/yr)

SAS has amazing benefits. The Cary campus is a dream if you must go into the office. There is a huge gym with an Olympic-sized swimming pool. They also offer exercise classes. In addition to that, there is a pharmacy on the campus and childcare options.
