Best is the new maternity leave. Our out of pocket cost is still very competitive.

The medical coverage, including the coverage for dental and vision, is the best thing about the benefits package at SAS.

It was good enough to keep me there 30 years. The gym was a huge plus. Being able to time time off during lunch to workout, then come back refreshed was great.

Coverage gets worse every year - healthcare costs increasing to employees - (probably because of all the old employees) and replacing in 2018 our 3% guaranteed 401k contribution + profit sharing (Once in double digits but 3% in 2017) with 6% 401k match.
Raises aren’t given unless you’re under market range, so only way to increase your base salary is a promotion.
Time off isn’t competitive.
Onsite healthcare
Good health insurance - employee responsible for 15% of cost.

The benefits are extremely generous. The only downside is the accounting for benefits in salary compensation. As a company, SAS tends to pay below market salaries and lure with benefits. If you don't avail yourself of these benefits, then you're likely short-changing yourself.

The on-site gym and group fitness classes are very convenient and the cafe's offer amazing food at very reasonable prices.
