SAS benefits

Benefits are one of the best out there. Stays competitive in a ever changing system. Salaries could be more competitive instead of using benefits to as compensation.

The benefits at SAS was very good. There was all of the basics, 401(K), profit Sharing that was put into your retirement plan each year, departmental bonuses, gym memberships covered, each year, the week between Christmas and New Years was company paid vacation for all employees to spend the holidays with family. The worst thing was the increasing dollar amount for insurance and not having the profit sharing a choice of whether to go into retirement or another selected account based on the employee's desire. Mail in prescriptions had to come from the corporate headquarters instead of your local pharmacies.

-Best healthcare in the industry, bar none. Besides the great insurance, the onsite healthcare center sets it apart from all other competitors. -Pretty decent 401k "match". They don't match here, but they give you a % contribution every year, regardless of match or not (normally 3-5%) -The onsite gym and facilities is amazing. Great weight rooms (2 of them!). Great basketball court (although the employees rarely sweep/mop them, which lead to slippery floors). Awesome indoor pool.

The benefits are very competitive and comprehensive. Really good for families. Bonuses are discretionary and are not as competitive. No stock is a negative from a long term incentive perspective.

Great 401k, competitive medical/dental. Wonderful child-care program and subsidy. Vacation time was good because the company is closed the week between Christmas and New Years.
