The breadth of benefits is pretty amazing. On-site Daycare and on-site healthcare are two of the biggest perks for families, as are subsidized meals.

About 15 years ago SAS was giving putting up 15% a year in profit sharing. For the last 6 or so years it goes between 8 & 9.5%. Still good, but not the 15% it once was.

Excellent insurance coverage (health, dental, vision) for the whole family for a very competitive price. Life insurance worth three times annual salary provided by SAS, with the option to purchase more for self and family. Optional short and long-term disability insurance. 401k options with company matching. Three weeks paid vacation per year to start, with an extra week of paid time off between Christmas and New Year's Day every year, and one additional week of paid vacation after 10 years. No limits on sick time for self or family (within reason: if job performance is affected, it will be discussed). On campus health care center, pharmacy, childcare, cafés, work-life department with social workers and classes/seminars, Fitness Center with natatorium, and classes at both, walking/running trails, sport fields, lunchtime sport leagues: soccer, ultimate, softball, football, volleyball, basketball, tennis, racquetball. SAS offers salaries right in the middle of the pack because the benefits (total compensation) package is so good!
