The employee discount is only for the person and their spouse. Parents cannot use their child's discount card. A lot of times the coupons that "spit out" for the customer at the register, is as good as the employee discount. Employees cannot use the coupons with their discount card. We use to be able to until Kmart bought Sears out.

Employee discount is very generous, 20% for softline and 10% for Hardline. This works even on Friends and Family events which makes these discounts very good.

Good discount for clothes, but 10% on Hardlines purchases (higher priced products) is insulting. Employees not allowed to use credit card other than Sears Card. Interest rates on Sears card extremely high.

The employee discount is better than some and not nearly as good as others. The one truly good feature is that the employee discount will stack with other discounts such as sale prices on merchandise
