Maybe just the bonus really is how much you work hard to get sales and tips saved weekly, very nice.

You have the ability to make commission. However, unless you are in an extremely busy store and cutting non stop, it usually doesn't happen.

If you exceed the minimum expectations, you can receive additional pay. This varies by store and owner. Some stores may set amounts that are not attainable.

Commission bonus goals constantly changed. Had to consist of a 2 weeks average on service commission. Permanent raises were based off goals on a 13 weeks average. Retail sale bonuses were only given after $100 of retai is sold in a two week period. After $100 on 10% commission bonus on retail sales.

At my location our goals for performance bonuses are easily attainable. And the payout for reaching them is fair

The bonus is based on meeting a minimum criteria each pay period and then for the quarter if you hit certain levels, the next quarter your base pay is increased.

You only get bonuses as a manager, and each employee would have to be busting out 20 haircuts a day and keeping their numbers virtually perfect for you to benefit at all, and even then, your paycheck MIGHT reflect an extra $100.
