They automatically start taking out 4% contributions from your pay check each pay period after working there only after a month or so. They sent a letter that I did not read until 5 months later. I stopped the contributions after I found out what was happening. Usually my formal employers would have the employees enroll if they wanted to save for retirement, not automatically do it for them.
