it is through merill lynch, and they take 12% of each check and essentially play the stock market with it, you get a monthly notice that doesn't actually tell you what the value of the 401k is just what money they either gained or lost on the market. There is no opt out feature, you are automatically enrolled and even if you say you don't want it they are going to continue to pull the money out of your check.
