Employee Discounts

The 10% discount applies to full-price AND clearance, and can be used in conjunction with all other sales (ad, manufacturers coupons, Cartwheel app, etc.) but you MUST use cash, gift card, or Target REDcard to get the bonus. All but forces you to apply for a REDcard.

it only gives you a 10% discount, and they micromanage the discount, so do not risk sending a family member in the store with your discount card. The discount should be for "cost" or "near cost", not for only 10%

It's only 10% which is pretty small compared to other places I have worked and then they bait you with them saying it could be 15% if you get their Red Card. Smart move.

It is only 10% off of a purchase but adds up if you utilize the Target redcard which adds another 5% discount and coupons are always good to use.

We get special promotional discounts every couple of months

You have to use discount with a red card or cash only. No bank card. Which can be an inconvenience

If you combined it with the 5% for the red card then you were looking at 15% overall which isn't great but isn't bad. If they paid more or had regular hours that were guaranteed month over month then it would be a great discount.

Having multiple resources for help

The best part of Target Employee Discount is that you could use it for anything in the store and could add savings on top of Discount if you had the Target RED Card. The bad think is that they employee discount can only be used when purchasing you items with cash or Target afflicted cards.

It's only 10%, it's not much at all and things are already 15% more cheaper at Wal-Mart so just go there.
