Vacation & Paid Time Off

It seems like it doesn't accrue very fast but it seems easy to use

4 weeks after 5 years

I got a week vacation after 1 year

Challenging to accrue time off and you are only allowed to use the time off accrued up to the average number of hours you work. However, you know your schedule in advance and have time to put your shift up to be taken by someone else (whether it gets taken or not is another story)

You get 2 weeks to start... But it is difficult to use them as retail is often all hands on deck.

The vacation hours add up very slow for a normal full time employee (non team leader). After 9.5 years I was only getting 3 hours every two weeks (The amount goes up after the 1 year, 3 year, 5 year, 10 year and every 10 years after that). After a few months with my new employer I was getting the same amount.

If they allow you to work enough hours then it is beneficial to you

vacation is eligible at the right time. No vacation from Nov-December.

You do receive paid time off and vacation pay if you average 20 hours a week.
