Retirement Plan

Doesn't start for a year.

Thrivent Financial has wonderful retirement plans thru thrivent directly. They also yield more than any other retirement plan

wow a place that still offers a pension! 5% - too bad they can't be more competitive with wages, it would make the pension a nice perk. But since they offer less than market salaries it's not really worth it to work here just for a 5% pension.

There was no Retirement Plan for contract employees. If they were to hire on contract employees I think there would have been much happier people working there.

If you're lucky enough to have worked at Lutheran Brotherhood, the predecessor organization, you could be grandfathered in under their defined benefit pension program. That is gone. Management does not like veteran employees to mention this.

No help with 401k and pension is tied to insurance sales.

They get great marks just for having one. It's defined contribution, but it's better than not having one, period!
