It's a really hefty discount. Forty percent off of everything, and at different stores that are affiliated with Torrid (Hot Topic), Box Lunch, Lovesick, etc.

40% off but generally does not apply to certain items and most sales

The discount was 40% but the clothes are over priced and even the discount wasn't much help

At least once a month employees get 50% off or more.

the best thing about the employee discount is that it is 40%.

Even with the discount, the clothing is still so very expensive it was not really an affordable discount, however, for hot topic it was a very nice discount.

40% have 50% weekends too. Usable at Hot Topic as well, at Hot Topic it is combinable with coupons and sales at Torrid it's just the 40 or 50 straight out, if a sale can save you more money you can opt out of using the discount.

The clothes are nice, but really expensive. So the employee discount should make a dent in it but doesn't even cover sales tax. Occasionally they will do a promotional weekend where you get better discounts, but they feel like they are designed to treat employees like customers instead of workers. Let me put it this way; I couldn't afford even a single item on most paychecks. Even with discounts.

Best thing is that it's 40% and they sometimes increase it to 50%. Worst thing is that they do not allow you to use it on clearance.
