The best thing about the employee discount is that it makes the clothes affordable for minimum wage workers. It's the best discount offered anywhere I have seen. I see no down side to the discount.

you get your 40% discount 24/7 (but not on top of other sales unless notified) and then 1x a month, typically last paycheck of every month they give us 50% instead of 40% for that paycheck weekend.

you get 40% off, including clearance, but cannot combine that with the ongoing store deals. Clothes are usually overpriced though and made to be purchased by customers at a discount so it really evens out to what the average savvy shopper would get.

We get a significant discount on items in the store. It is all merchandise including clearance. Not to mention the random 50% off weekends. And promotional sales.

Occasionally they offered 50% off but their clothes are already expensive enough that even with half off I'm still paying almost 50 dollars for a pair of super distressed jeans that I'm sure would go on clearance after a while.
