Sick days were okay but few

I used them and they came in handy; the more hours you work the more you get.

If you have PTO you can take a sick day. Managers are generally understanding if you're not feeling well and will encourage you to take care of yourself.

You get sick paid time off

Easy to earn and use. Employers are very flexible and do not guilt you for being sick.

Managers will yell at you for taking sick time off.

Management would basically guilt you over calling in sick, and there wasn't any sick pay so most of the time they could convince you to come in even if you felt awful because hours were so sparce and paychecks were so small that taking care of yourself doesn't feel 'worth it'.

Don't get paid for sick days. Also, it can be difficult to find coverage.
