It’s a very good retirement plan but there is always the threat that the union or the company will steal the money. Currently the plan is underfunded and the government rates it a critical funded plan .

At $8.41 an hour the monthly pension payment adds up quickly. You are completely vested after five years and it's worth the time. Full-time workers get around $50k a year after 30 years. The pension is the best part of being a Teamster.
