I do not know of their plan. I am a part-time seasonal package handler.

The pension is satisfactory if you stay 30 or 35 years, but you cannot collect until you are older which complicates matters if you start working for UPS when you are younger. The excellent management pension has apparently been stripped down to the inadequate level, and that could disappear in the near future.

The pension plan is very good. You can early retire at 55 years old and 10 years of service to be included in the pension plan. I believe a mid manager will likely get between $3,000-$4,000 month if he/she has around 20 years of service.

Having educated myself, it seems to be quite generous! Provided the union doesn't spend it all before we get it.. .

We have to wait until we are 55 to retire, no matter how many years of service we have

The UPS stock plan is excellent and provides incentive based rewards each year. The 401K match could be better.
