If you don’t get a degree while your in the Army, Even if you only do one tour, your waiting your time.

I got a bachelors and a Masters all paid by TA. Did not use my GI Bill yet

I will leave the military with a college degree and some certifications in my future job market. So if you do the research you can gain a lot out of the tuition assistance program.

After a year of serving on Active duty, you are eligible for TA with the Post 9/11 GI Bill; earn your degree while serving or go to school after serving your country. You can also transfer GI Bill to your spouse and kids with an additional 4 year obligation to meet the service remaining requirement, great benefit.

Not much in the way of tuition assistance $700 per class but comes with a two year commitment at the completion of the class
