Walgreens offers a wide variety of benefits to eligible team members designed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being while helping you balance work and life. In addition to company-paid life insurance and voluntary life & personal accident insurance, the benefits below are available to our team members.
Best is the Profit Sharing: the guaranteed company match is 2:1 plus a portion of the year-end profit is paid into the plan. It averages a total of about 3:1 match so if you contribute $1000, it will become $4000 after the company match is paid. Total vesting is quick also.
Worst is the medical insurance: I am currently paying $316.64 every two weeks for a Gold Level plan for family of four that goes to doctor 1-2 times a month. The plans have been getting progressively more expensive with less choice for several years until the ACA standard plans. Plans still cost a lot but there are options for everyone (those that only want it for emergency and those that will use it constantly). Also, the prescription service is restricted to Walgreens only. Not a big deal, unless there are difficulties with a prescriber or availability of a drug.

Can't self-direct 401k. Profit-sharing broker different from employee stock purchase & stock option broker.

The health insurance is very expensive for any kind of decent coverage. The paid vacations take a year of service to come into affect.

Great Company, has been around forever and will forever be around. Employees are taken care of for the most part...some 'growing pains' currently with changes to the job environment everywhere.

many options available to employees. Great match to 401k contributions. Access to insurance after 60 days

401k is ok. The time off is confusing and using frozen time off is close to impossible

High premium, high deductibles. Some good choices but still high premiums on everything. No perks, no care about morale.
