Found it strange that CA actually said the quiet part out loud though. Like if my goal was to offset TX, I’d just do the constitutional amendment and everyone would know why without me saying it. Just seemed stupid to say “it’s because we want to take representation away from republicans”.
I hope it all get struck down when this is inevitably brought to SCOTUS. It’s been a bit since I looked at Bush v. Gore but I really feel like there’s a constitutional protection cited there against our individual right to a republican form of gov’t, or one-persom-one-vote, that’s ripe for challenging at least what CA did.
