I interviewed for a sales role at 1Password. The recruiter stuck very closely to a scripted list of questions and offered minimal real engagement or follow‑up, which made the conversation feel robotic and transactional. I gave detailed, metrics‑driven examples and thoughtful answers, but there was little attempt to build rapport or turn it into a two‑way conversation.
On the positive side, the process was clear: they explained the role, compensation structure, and approximate hiring timeline. However, the lack of warmth and genuine dialogue didn’t reflect what I’d expect from a company that emphasizes people and customer centricity. Overall, the experience felt more like checking boxes than assessing mutual fit.
