I applied online. I interviewed at 1Password (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2026
Interview
I interviewed for a sales role at 1Password. The recruiter stuck very closely to a scripted list of questions and offered minimal real engagement or follow‑up, which made the conversation feel robotic and transactional. I gave detailed, metrics‑driven examples and thoughtful answers, but there was little attempt to build rapport or turn it into a two‑way conversation.
On the positive side, the process was clear: they explained the role, compensation structure, and approximate hiring timeline. However, the lack of warmth and genuine dialogue didn’t reflect what I’d expect from a company that emphasizes people and customer centricity. Overall, the experience felt more like checking boxes than assessing mutual fit.

Question 1
Can you walk me through a recent deal you owned from start to finish, how you first identified the opportunity, the steps you took to progress it, the challenges you encountered, and how you ultimately closed it?
