Pretty simple process, invited to a casual call with one of their internal recruiters through their internal video conferencing software. Declined going further due to the "competitive salary" being the April minimum wage.

My thought process when it comes to dealing with customer issues
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at 8x8 (San Jose, CA) in Nov 2017
Interview
If you’re much over 40, forget this place - they won’t hire you. The process took 10 weeks (!) First a couple of phone interviews with the internal recruiter and the hiring manager. Hiring manager states that I was highly qualified for several positions in Support. Then a month later, on-site interviews lasting 2 hours with 4 engineers. No difficult questions. I showed some customer-facing documents I had created. 5 weeks later I received a vague email saying they would move forward with candidates that better matched current needs - even though I’ve been working in the hosted contact center industry since 2009, and used to support a product they now own. Don’t waste your time on 8x8.
