Interview
Completed an online application form and was invited to an assessment day at their offices within two weeks. The assessment day consisted of 2 parts, a case study exercise with a Partner and a competency-based interview with a partner, senior associate or member from HR. The case study was obviously the harder of the two; we were given half an hour to read an information pack, following which we had to give a 10-15 minute presentation and discuss the various problems with the Partner for the remaining 45 minutes. Definitely brush up on your commercial awareness and be prepared to defend your position or to adapt it accordingly to the Partner's prompts.
Quite difficult to navigate but as long as you haev a solid structure to the commercial case study it should not be too bad. Motivational questions are quite generic questions about what you would do in specific scenarios.
Online application with an interactive assessment to test applicant’s behavioural judgement. Also two video interviews question asking why apply for the firm and important quality as a solicitor. Successful applicants will be invited to the firm’s virtual assessment centre to complete a commercial case study assessment on M&A
