I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AGC Partners (Boston, MA) in Aug 2016
Interview
My interview process at AGC was as straightforward as you could ask for. I was invited to a superday interview following the conclusion of my summer internship at the firm's Boston office. The quick turnaround time when arranging my interview date was a huge help while evaluating full-time opportunities, and was a welcome change from other experiences I had. The actual superday consisted of one-on-one interviews with all of the partners and analysts in the office asking a variety of technical and behavioral questions.
The individual interviews were relatively short yet very fast paced regardless of the material, and were generally divided between the partners asking behavioral/fit questions and analysts focusing on the technicals (with exceptions to both). You definitely need to be on your toes for all of the interviews, but there was always time towards the end where partners and analysts alike would open up to field any questions I had about the firm and its culture.
Overall, the combination of thinking on the fly and the questions asked made the interview process tough, but definitely fair in terms of the material covered.

Understand (not simply memorizing) the common valuation methodologies
I applied online. I interviewed at AGC Partners (London, England) in May 2023
Interview
Initial Online Assessments and then a screening call with HR. Then had a further call with senior members of the team before an assessment center / Superday
The assessment center was demanding but fair and needed to prepare technical as well as personality questions
Two phone rounds, one super-day meeting 10+ people. You will talk with analyst all the way up to partners. Everyone has different interview process but it was generally pretty standard.

Question 1
Various behavioral and technical questions; some focus on tech space
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AGC Partners (Boston, MA) in Oct 2016
Interview
The process began with a Skype interview followed by a phone interview. A few weeks later Superday was held in Boston on a Saturday. The Superday consisted of about 15 interviews, each running 15 minutes long. After the interviews, there was a happy hour at a local restaurant.
The format of the Superday enables you to meet a majority of the partners and analysts, which gives you a sense of the people you would be working with as well as the company culture. I found this helpful, especially since AGC is a small firm. The happy hour then allows you to talk with everyone in a more personal setting and gain a better sense of personality and fit. Overall the day was tiring, but well-run and very informative.
As for interview questions, the Skype interview focused on a mix of technical and fit questions. The phone interview only asked fit questions. The Superday had all types of questions. As long as you prepare, the questions are fair. Also, if you want to ask analyst questions, it is easier to ask during the Skype or phone interviews because there is more time.
