Got an email from company recruiter asking for my availability for interview. She wanted me to respond back via text on her cell. I found texting as a method of communication with a recruiter to be weird and unprofessional, but ignored that and responded back both on email and text. Didn't hear back. 2 days later I followed up, and finally she confirmed a timeslot. Next day at the confirmed interview time, I didn't get a call. After waiting for sometime, I followed up with her and then got her call. She begins the conversation by asking me 'Can you remind me which position you had applied for??!' I was shocked by the attitude with which she was handling this process! The rest of the call pretty much went the same way. She seemed least interested in what I had to say and ended the call without giving me a chance to ask any questions. After the call I waited for a week but didn't hear back. I had to follow up yet again, before she could tell me that my candidacy was rejected. It does not bother me that I wasn't selected, but where was the basic etiquettes that's expected in a hiring process? Stop treating your candidates like trash! We invest a lot of time and effort into our applications, so the least we expect is some respect. This company was not worth my time at all!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Salary expectation, location preference. Nothing in depth about my skills.
I was ghosted after completing four interviews with the recruiter, hiring manager, and several team members. I also completed a case assignment as part of the process. Interviews and assignment were not particularly challenging. Very unprofessional that the company would not at least follow up after I dedicated so much time to the process.
