Really good chat with Charlotte - the recruiter in Manchester - who was genuine and knew a lot about the company / answered all my questions and kept me updated on the process. I appreciated her calling to tell me that the team wasn't progressing with me in person, rather than by email. I was also interviewed by the department manager and unfortunately it wasn't a great experience at all. I mentioned I was a mum to a toddler and he asked if I could manage a few day trips to London once in a while? It taught me a sad lesson, actually, to hide the fact that I'm a mum as some men can't understand that you can do both.
