I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Absorb Software (Calgary, AB) in Nov 2020
Interview
Phone interview, I feel that that the person interviewing me was not well spoken. They simply read off a sheet of paper and the questions were very generic. I think they were looking for someone who can be controlled and can be underpaid

Question 1
Tell me about yourself, how do you handle rejection, what do you know about absorb
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Absorb Software (Dublin, Dublin) in Sep 2020
Interview
30 minutes phone interview. Friendly recruiter but awkward process. The phone interview was recorded to be eventually heard & evaluated by managers. Over the interview it was stressed that the Dublin office is open, and employees are working from the office, by following Irish government guidelines. It was also mentioned that it is at discretion of the employee to decide when to work from home or office. I personally found this unsolicited information a bit off-setting, for two main reasons: a) all the major tech companies in Dublin are keeping their offices closed until 2021; and b) as per current Irish work safety protocol "office work should continue to be carried out at home, where practicable and non-essential work". While I appreciate transparency, this "open office" notification in time of pandemic did not resonate with me to a people-centric workplace. I'd expect, on the first introductory call, for a company to focus on the benefits they can offer & not on workplace policies.

Interview
It was a fairly casual process overall. It started off with email exchanges, then a phone interview followed by a face to face panel interview. Great experience overall. We had good conversations and discussions and follow ups. Touch points were appreciated as well.
