I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Acronis (Singapore) in Jun 2021
Interview
Absolutely disgusting.
While the technical interview process itself was absolutely well done (which I must commend them for), this company (or at least their HR) does not try to even hide the fact that they treat employees as disposable assets.
The first and biggest red flag was when their HR never bothered to set up a specific date and time for the call after giving the job offer. When I specifically asked for a date and time, not only I didn't get a reply from them, they decided to call me directly unannounced. This is one of the worst experience with HR I've ever had. They obviously treat candidates like some sort of lower life-form
The second red flag was the actual job offer. There was a separate interview regarding my career goals and aspirations and I made it a point to make my goals very clear. To my surprise, they came back offering me a role that not only was not the role I was interviewing for, but a role that was never discussed throughout the entire interview process. This just stinks of a company that doesn't and will not respect your career goals and decisions.
The last red flag was when how HR didn't discuss employee welfare until specifically asked. No surprises there because when they were forced their hand you could clearly tell that they did not put much effort into employee welfare, and the worst part is how blatant they are that they do not plan to improve either. You're not here to stay. You're just here to do your job and leave when you're no longer needed. You're just a resource. That's the blaring message I got from their HR team.
I pity the good people who have to work here for whatever reason they may have and I hope they get the opportunity to move to better companies before they are sucked dry. There are so many companies out there, both big and small, that actually care about their employees' well-being and success.
If you don't believe me (and I wouldn't fault you for it), just take a look at the reviews from people who have worked here.
tl;dr Technical team looks competent. HR is absolutely disgusting. Management is chaotic. Welfare is terrible. Bleak future. Don't waste your time here.
